1. Who we are
Jolt is operated by Burgundy Avenue, Lda., a company registered in Portugal (Av. João XXI 18). We are the data controller responsible for the personal data you provide when using Jolt. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@joltwork.app.
2. What we collect
We collect the following data when you use Jolt:
- Email address — provided during account creation, used to identify your account and send essential service communications.
- Phone number — required for WhatsApp-based tools (Schedule, Intros). Stored in E.164 format.
- Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.
- WhatsApp message content — messages you send to Jolt bots are processed to deliver the service. Content is not stored persistently beyond the active session.
- Analytics — we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that collects no personal data and sets no cookies. Only aggregate page-view data is collected.
3. Why we collect it
We process your data under the following legal bases under GDPR:
- Contract performance — email, phone number, and payment data are necessary to provide the Jolt service you subscribed to.
- Legitimate interest — aggregate analytics via Plausible help us understand how the product is used without identifying or tracking individual users.
4. How long we keep it
- Account data (email, phone): retained while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
- Payment records: retained for 7 years to comply with Portuguese accounting law.
- WhatsApp message content: not stored persistently. Processed in-session only.
5. Who we share your data with
We share your data only with the third-party services necessary to operate Jolt:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — database hosting (EU region)
- Vercel — application hosting
- Meta / WhatsApp — message delivery infrastructure for WhatsApp-based tools
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data for advertising purposes.
6. Your rights
As a resident of the EU, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing or withdraw consent where applicable.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Jolt after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
